While I was working on the setup sheets I came up with a little application some of you may find useful. You can fill out your setup sheets online and convert them to PDF for storage on your personal computer or as an image to easily display on the forums.

Let me know if you find it useful and any feedback or features you want added.

Enjoy.

P.S. Thanks to all the previous beta testers for taking the time to provide feedback.

dude! that's great work. i wonder how long before other manufacturers get the same idea and copy it. this way any caster drivers can have a good base set-up for any tracks that a caster has all ready been ran on (as long as we are studious and fill one of these out for all of the tracks we run on.) this can be a great asset to the team!

This is awesome stuff!

I was barely online this week... just a few minutes here and there, and only using my cell and old laptop and I was having trouble getting things to work, so I was not much help.

That is cool. It should make things a lot easier for keeping track of set-ups.

FYI: Added a color selector to choose the text color and improved the image quality dramatically. Here is a sample.

This is really bad ass! Great work!

BTW, XRAY has an interactive form that is really nice for their factory team drivers to enter their setups and race information. And it is mandatory for them to enter every race as part of their deal.

How do you save it. This is awesome but I cannot do anything with it when I am done. I click export pdf or Image and nothing happens.

Vnmsgt, sorry I made a dumb mistake with the color selector but it is now working. You'll have to close the browser window and reopen to load the new version.

Simply fill out the form and select Export PDF or Export Image to download your filled out setup sheet.

LOL, sorry man and I know how you feel as I've been filling out the forms on and off since I started the project a few weeks ago.. :(. I've been thinking of allowing users to save a "standard" setup so you won't have to retype in everything again........ perhaps I'll throw that in if interest continues.

Don't worry, you're pretty much a 1-setup-everywhere guy anyway so it will be the last time for you.

Yeah I've seen xrays interactive form and it is very nice. If they added an export to image feature to post on forums it would be pretty much flawless.

also xray team drivers when testing something new on the car never hit the track with the same setup. every time the car touches the dirt something has been changed.

Yes, the rear upper arm inner hole configuration is in correct.there are 5 holes not 3. There needs to be boxes for the other holes on the wing mount and a box for text to tell what wing you are using.

Hmmm. I wonder if some have 3 and others have 5?? Let me see what I have.

I must be missing something. I still see 3 in the rear upper arms. These are pics from the new fusion.

Ah ok.. thanks for providing the pics. Instead of just recreating separate sheets, I'll add 5 holes and those without them can just ignore.

Thanks.

yup that will work make a note for the ones with only 3 holes use the inner 3 holes

Not entirely sure I know which cars have 3 vs 5. I guess it's:

3 holes
zx-1
fusion standard

5 holdes
zx-1.5
fusion pro

Is this right??

cheesecake

nope my fusion pro has 3

Just note it as the 5 hole setup and the guys with 3 hole towers can still mark the correct one of 3 and ignore the extra 2.

Thanks guys. I should have time to add this today.

On another note, I think I'm going to add the ability to save the setup sheets online. It really is a pain in the arse to have to fill it all out again when something minor changes in your setup.

As far as logins, I have to decide on whether to use Google, Yahoo, Flickr, Twitter, or Amazon, Facebook. So far I'm leaning towards flickr since image handling is already built into their service.

Ok added 5 holes to the setup sheet. Those who don't have it can ignore.

Perhaps I should explain.. lol

This person should know EVERY single setup option (even those that aren't on setup sheets) available on most 1/8 scale vehicles AND the negative and positive effects of each. From those list of options he should know which ones affect the cars different dynamics the most in descending order.

For example:

If all we want to do is increase steering, he should know what options affect steering from greatest to least.

It's a primitive example but easy to understand and explain.

Any shooters??:)

Was looking for the caster setup sheets and came across your great tool.

I'm learning more and more about setups so this will come in handy since I can record setup changes from track to track and use them as a reference.

Great work man.

Oh thanks, it needs some work though. I'm reprogramming it so that users can save their setups online. Let me know if you have any ideas to improve it further.

Thanks.
