We are proud to announce that we are a preferred vendor and sponsor of this track and facility. Pics of the place look very nice and they have a great webpage. Hopefully it will help grow Caster in the Denver area....

That track looks real nice. Is that a grass section or something? It looks like a green straightaway?

That's Turf all right!!! Cleans off the tires at the end of the strait just before the bowl bank. First year Rat is testing multi-surface. There is a wood bump bridge too. Sat is the day we all find out what it's about. Only had one day of practice on it.

Aug 22-24 is Colorado Off-Road State Championship. This will be the 6th annual. Good times, big crowd, good prizes. They change the track layout the weekend before so nobody has home field. I'll keep ya posted.

Definately think the multi surface idea is good, makes for interesting driving.
Our old track we had before it closed down had a section with corrugated roof sheet for about 2-3 meters and that was always a good place to pressurise guys to make mistakes.
At the African Cup a few years ago they had a similar rumble strip made from treated wooden poles and a banked corner made from paving bricks.
Was a awesome track to run on.
IN Europe the guys use astro turf on some sections.

Rat is using more of a fake grass turf, low cut. Astro turf makes a sweet surface for jump faces and landings. Prevents wear and tear on the jumps and cars.

Wow Durban, Africa, Is that home or business home? Had a friend go to school out there. Most people don’t realize Africa has cities as beautiful and economical as Durban.

Yeah some poeple still think we have wild animals in the back yard :)
The occassional troop of monkeys do drop in now and then.

Next year the electric offroad and 1/5th onroad worlds are being held in South Africa, so am looking forward to that.

You mean you don't race between the elephant dung patties, and pit under trees with the zebras? :&!@

Yeah those day are over :( (chuckle)
I had a meeting today for a venue for our new local track and as luck would have it someone else found out about it and offered us another alternative venue.
Will post pics in the coming weeks of the track build.
