Just some points i have noted to make the buggy and truggy solid and reliable.
1.Firstly the rear shock towers i secure to the bulkheads with longer screws and lock nuts, could do the same to the front shock towers but ive had issues with the rears mainly.
2.With the hinge pins using eclips i fitted Kfactory captured hinge pins and believe the Cen genesis and Ofna buggy ones fit aswell.
Shouldnt be needed since Caster has there own captured hinge pins now :)
3.Front upper hinge pin holder is recommended to change to the ally ones.
4.Take the time and effort to shim the clearance between the diff gears and crown wheels, realy makes for a better transmission.
5.Change the kit engine mounts to a 1 piece or 3 piece to strengthen and prevent ripping out the engine mount screws from the chassis in a bad crash.
6.Cant speak for the new wing stays but teh older ones needed to boiled in water for a bit more flex so they didnt break on hard awkward landings.
7.Use thread lock on all grub screws and any screws going into metal.

Some of this might not apply to the latest kits but are always good to check on.

I might get the one piece engine mount. If there was one part on the truck that looked weak it was the stock motor mounts. The fins go all the way through and look like they might crack. Will find out this weekend at the first race.:D I agree with captured hinge pins. I had a eclipe come last run. I do not care for them.

a little help for the eclips is to put a dab of silicone sealant on them so they stick the pin.
helps prevent them popping of in minor incidents.

Well got some shoe goo after some clips fell out and it helped but I still bought the captured pins and installed them today. Much better. Also bought them for the buggy and will be installing them.

as for the new wing stay, i replaced mine with a Mugen MBx-5 after mine broke in a final, and its been fine the last couple of meetings. As for the front upper hinge pins, ive captured mine just like the mbx-6 design, just made the holders that sit in the shock tower and they have no chance of coming out. CVD pins have all been captured with heat shrink. Done all the hinge pins with captured one including the rear hubs and the buggy is really reliable every meeting

There has always been a lot of 'buzz' about the CVD pins coming out. Well, I have a fail safe and cheap solution...

Put some Shoe Goo around the CVD, and that pin ain't going aaaaanywhere!!!

I just put a glob on my finger tip and rotate the hub while holding it against it. It makes a perfect seal around the whole thing, and is dry in minutes. Have never lost one since!!!

Hmm..Seems like workable. I'll try it out. I've had 2 CVD pins drop out on me twice. Ending up buying 2 extra pairs.

I like that! I have been using small zip ties fr my rear driveshaft and rear axles. The shoe goo would work for the front axles with I really like. I will try it. Thanks alot for the tip.?&^
