Unfortunate reality of the current economic conditions.....

Just so everyone knows.

He will be running his Tamiya so make sure to say "hi". It is too bad also because he sold more Caster after he decided he didn't like it and went to Losi....Then Tamiya....

Wow, sad, but that is the reality. It's not just the economy but the vast amount of competitors out there. The problem with owning a business of your hobby is that it's hard to be objective about something you love so much. So you're more apt to run it despite it's negative cash flow.

I'm sure he'll bounce back one day and move on to something more profitable.

Thanks, I appreciated being able to represent Caster even though I did move on to Tamiya as a driver. As a business owner it is a tough world right now for the hobby. Sales dropped dramatically from last November on. I tried every trick I could think of. It just wasn't going to work. So, for 6 months I lamented the choice I finally had to make. I do appreciate all the support people have given me and do plan on increasing my race exposure. I also follow Caster every single day to see what I am missing :) As for the future business in the hobby, I am currently working on a new venture that will be revealed in the near future that will affect every single person in the hobby industry. Once details are ready, Caster will surely be one of the first to know.

I have been looking at the racing schedules around the southeast, and with VERY cheap airfares from Atlanta to Florida, as low as $30 each way on Spirit Air, I am contemplating coming down to a WOW race via plane ride. Cheaper and faster, only hitch is finding someone to pick me up and stay with. I have been looking at the WOW series and the banter and awesome rivalries look very exciting. Looking at September 13 or 27th.

I am sure I will see many of you at the races in the near future. S.I.C. is coming up too, hopefully I will see you guys there as well.

Alex,
I am very sorry that it had to come to this. You never want to see someone close the doors on their bussiness, exspecialy when its a fellow friend and former team mate. I am not trying to push anything on you, but if you give Matt Anderson a call at Anderson R/C, he might be willing to take some of the inventory off your hands to help try and recoperate some of your money. His store number is (336) 476-6917. Let him know that James Carter refferred you to him. Not saying he will, but you never know. Anyway, I'm glad I got to meet you at The Farm II and I am sure our paths will cross again. You take care.

James, thanks for that contact. I will see you at the Farm again soon. I bagged out of this weekend because we have a series race here that is two races back to back and I in contention for being in the top 5 if I do well this weekend. Going to be in Dalton, GA for 3 days racing starting Friday. Will be running the Tamiya truggy for the first time too.

I will not say anymore. Good luck in the future Alex and don't forget us.

You are more then welcome Alex. Anytime I can help out, let me know.

I don't think I am going to make it to the Farm II this weekend either. Nothing is falling into place like I wanted it to. And the entry fees are a big expense for me right now with not job.

Well, I sell Dish Network satelite service, hardly a job but need something.
