Very pleased with everything as a whole except tires and batteries did not come in time but borrowed them from big brother. It was me vs 6 rc18b on a dirt oval. All ae's are pretty much modified to the helm with large castle brushless systems. Problems though...
1) first 1600 battery run stock servo pooped out and would not turn right.
had to rig the hs65 on there not pretty.
2) could not keep the car from steering very hard left under full power.
3) after a few batteries through front bearings began to show signs of
trouble
4) after a pretty hard crash that consisted of end over end sommersault
for several feet the rear a arm pin broke out of the chassis, tried to rig
it but it ultimately ended my day.
so after the first day of racing i need a new chassis, figure out what is wrong with the torgue steer, and bearings. see if i can get some pics up shortly. but everyone was very pleased with the car oh and a better radio.

My RTR radio never even made it to the track. It didn't agree with my son's MX3 so I put in a JR XS3 in a pinch. Now I'm running the Caster 2.4 GhZ radio and it works great.
My first race outing, I didn't even make it through practice before I broke the stock servo. The HS65HB has worked perfect in its place.
I also had a bearing go crunchy on me, so I changed the axle bearings to stainless blue seals by Big Ball Bearings from RcBoyz.
I bet either your bearings or your wheels are causing your torque steer. A shot bearing or a wheel that's on too tight will cause that.
My F18 is also down right now because of a broken chassis but not the same breakage as yours. I managed to break mine at the nose where the front diff bolts down. I don't fault the chassis too much though.. it was my driving that put the nose into the board.
Right now I've got parts on the way to convert to the Pro chassis. Once I've determined all that is needed, I'll put up the procedure and the part numbers, then I'm going to pitch to Mike to market a Pro chassis conversion kit that includes all the necessary components for a one stop shop upgrade.

Man a Pro chassis conversion kit is a great idea. I would buy one if I don't fallow your lead and buy the parts once you post up the part numbers needed to do so.. Along with sealed bearings and a better servo it sounds like this truck is backed by some great people/company.

The great thing about CR and the reason I believe they will be successful in the long run is that they listen to their customers. Right now the F18 is still in a quasi Beta stage. By using small batch manufacturing they are able to identify and correct issues before they become full blown epidemics. They're already making changes based on feedback from end users and more rolling changes are in the works.
Unlike some RC companies we know that pump out 100,000 units with junk diff's and servos and only half-heartedly fix the problem.
