It's unlikely tht it'll fit (Does it?)but this looks good.

Maybe Mikey can design a new Motor mount similar to something like this or the LOSI one. It'll make it easier to slide out the motor to do a pinion change. Kind of troublesome having to take out a battery tray to change a pinion.

Can anyone confirm whether it can be used?

It is hard to say because ours is unique to the fusion. If he didn't have the bearing in there, it would be ok. As it sits, I think it would be backwards.

Why would the bearing affect the fit? So our motor mount is not the same as the MBX5?

Because our motor mounts backwards compared to the nitro motor, correct? Or am I losing my mind thanks to vnmsgt and cheesecake?

Either everyone thinks I went crazy or everyone quit the forums.

Funny...No one's replying. It really seems like a better way when u need to change pinion or shift the motor.

I've made an order to try one out last night. I know "BADASSREVO" is interested in getting one. Hopefully it fits. The guy doing the mount told me tht he had checked with a CASTER team driver.

My only concern is the total thickness of the mount. There is not much room when using a Tekin motor.

I ordered it for my F8T so it shouldn't be an issue. I measured the thickness of our motor mount. It's abt 5.5mm. The Elite mount is 10mm so it's an additional 4.5mm. Should be fine. If u wanna wait, I'll try it on my EX1 Pro as well when I get it to see wht max can size it'll fit.

it should work just fine.

Thanks, I will wait for you to install it in the Fusion with the Tekin motor.

Bad news...the mount fits a EX1 but not the F8T which I wanted....It's bec our spur 62T is too big and the mount would be too short...
Clearance for a motor would be abt 68mm after using the mount.

I guess that I will stick with the Caster mount. The Tekin motor is too long.

Motor Length: 4030: 2.80” (71mm)

I'm getting a diff spacer to see if I can prop up the mount high enough to mount it. If it works, I'll try to find someone to mill an aluminum one then.
Anyone in here who has a mill? I need this in Aluminium. K8-0109 K8-T Center Diff Spacer (http://www.casterracingusa.com/product.php?productid=102&cat=0&page=4)

i m going to revive a very old thread here........anyone use this mount? does it allow for a bigger pinion, or fix the shaft hitting the battery tray?

i have one on order that i placed on saturday, says it will arrive tuesday. I talked with Ben the man who makes these, said that he has had people run up to a 19 tooth on them. So that is a bit more than stock will take. I can barely squeeze a 16 on and get mesh set enough its not annoying. I got a friend im going to try the Associated plastic spur conversion at the same time.

I would love to see a new motor mount design that keeps you from having to take the battery tray out in order to change the pinion. Would love to see one that slides in and out.

One of my buddies has that mount on his car... we haven't mounted a motor on it but the mount is SWEET! Kinda pricey... but I wouldn't mind having one!
