How much will running a single battery affect the balance and handleing in the fusion? Here is why I ask, I am kicking around the idea of running a 3s on my left side. Our track has only 4 right turns two sweeping low speed and the other two are roll around 180's. The left hand turns are more critical and I am curious if the weight on the left side will help into a left turn. Just interested in your thoughts.

You are going after Jon pretty hard then I take it.
My suggestion to you then is go 748 mode. Take the left tray off (motor side) and double stick or velcro the esc over there or cut a slot in the side of the tray for the esc to drop in and use the battery brace to hold it in. Then the balance will be very close to back to normal.
As time goes by, everyone else is saying that the balance doesn't matter (Losi, etc..) but I personally think they are just being delusional. I like Jon though so the tip didn't come from me.
Actually if the track is fairly small and you are not an expert driver, I would bet that you might be faster with one battery because of the control factor.

Thanks for the tip; I have a good background in 1/8 buggies, my racer will stay in the dual configuration. I have an extra race roller, a couple of 3S batteries and a EZrun(hobbywing) sytem not in use. Thinking about putting one together for guys to test drive or check out at the track. My wife has raced 1/8 nitro in the past and likes the idea and ease of electric, she currently runs a 1/10 4wd and has showed interest in my Fusion. (might have to get another roller) I am a nice guy but very few people get to drive my racers........even my wife:&
