1st day of practice and all went well.
Had a hassle with a servo not centralising so have changed the Ace 1015 to a new one.
Will know tommorrow if that is teh hassle.
Car was a bit crazy in first session with far too much oversteer.
I rebuilt front shocks with 3 x 1.5mm holes and 35wt oil and much better.
each run after i tried differ tyres and the new Caster ZB03 where so much better than the GRP Atomics.
ZB01 worked well but just too much steering with it.
Havent tried the ZB02 yet.

I took pics and will post when im back home since i forgot my usb cable for my cell and for the Camera.

I got back from the nats yesterday afternoon.
Have to say i havent had so much fun in a while.
Entry wasnt as big as expected but it but according to other guys it was the best event so far this year.
3 heats of buggies and 2 truggy.

Between myself and Rivano we got as much stick time as possible on Friday for practice and tried different tyres and tweeks.
Rivano had motor issues with erratic idling and flame outs suspect a air leak on the front bearing on his Mamba.
On Saturday morning we got off to decent starting runs only to have them cancelled due to a timing issue so had to rerun them.
The nature of the track was a bit decieving as it had good traction in some places and not in others but made for some good racing.
In hindsight i ran too soft a shock setup with 3x1.5 pistons and 35wt oil where as Rivano ran 45wt oil and looked a lot more planted. Unfortunately for him his motor hassles droped him back.
We qualified in 5th for Rivano and 8th in the Bmains.
For the finals i made some changes lowering my ride height and taking out some droop as well as dropping the rear upper arm inner mount and more wing rake.

In teh 30min final i got up to 2nd and was really going well but had another driviver that kept leaning forward on the stand to have me crash.
After this i just wasnt getting settled and was pushing too hard to eventually take 5th.
Rivano got rear ended on the start and dropped back to last and had to make a charge but jut couldnt keep it together and get up to pace to finish 9th.

Seeing as we havent run much this year we are rather happy with ourselves and learnt a few things thanks to tips i got here.
I took some pics and video clips on my cell phone so just need to get a 3pg player to download them.

Yeah right !! id like to think of myself as a above average racer although in onroad electric stock classes i do give the guys a run :)
Also for a race weekend you need some luck for everything to fall in place as well as a lot of hard work.

The track is pretty smooth and is also used for electrics hence no big jumps but on the national calendar it really is a good change.
The track surface held out extremely well for the 4 days of running as well as the electric nats 3 weeks back.
The sand clay has old car oil thrown on top so it hold everything together real well even after heavy rains.

The tack looks awesome!!!!
The clearer photo's you can make it out better.
Very impressed.
Ours is just clay and if it thinks of going to rain it cuts up bad lol.
And when it does rain.....
Cant make out which car is which lol.
Wouldn't mind having a go at that track thats for sure!

best part was that the cars didnt get as dirty as expected.
Just a blow off with the compressor and all was good.
I cleaned the outer filter once for the entire weekend since there was no dust.
