Very nice. You said "For example, we decided to go with captured hingepins, lightened outdrives, new spiral cut gears, new driveline parts, new spur gear, and new driveline cups. heck, even the gaskets got changed and that is just the driveline." It has captured hingepins? I didn't think it had that?

Apparently I am missing something.
I was under the impression that captured hingepins held the arms to the chassis and the rear hubs to the arms. They are also known as JR-0076 and JR-0140.
No clue Adric, I am seeing what you are seeing, but Mikey says it is adjustable. Maybe he misunderstood what I was saying but his english is so good that I find it impossible to believe.
Maybe the zxop one will be considered an upgrade for the new 1.5r?

Captured hinge pins do not have the ends of the king pins exposed. IE with a bolt on one end like ours is.
Losi and AE both come with captured type setups

They are captured just like the Jammin style captured pins. Underneath the nut is the eccentric bushing that can be adjusted or flipped around just like the AE and Losi types. I've had both the AE and Losi buggies in the past and the Caster captured hinge pin system is just as good and is still adjustable like the others. It just looks a little different then the Losi/AE type. Usually captured hinge pins are the lack of those darn "C" clips.
In terms of the captured CVD pins, Caster still has to work on that. I've worked and seen the new EX1.5R on the track and it's a great buggy with tons of upgrades from the previous versions!

Thanks Kevin. Hopefully that article will help you out. Everyone please remember that I have never said anything like that before. I have always been the humble guy saying we are a work in progress and that we are working on our cars so they can be as good as everyone else.
So, words of advice....
1.) We need to back the comments and believe them as this is all because of YOUR efforts and recommendations and my believing in you guys and Mikey.
2.) Now we are going to be hated slightly more. ODonnell and SHZ and others will not be happy that we have decided to jump out of their realm and say we are better than or equal to the major players. If people believe us, we will become more of a legitimate player and the cars are where they need to be now qualitywise in the marketplace.
3.) We need to stay our happy go lucky selves everywhere. I heard a story about some drivers from another brand and to make a long story short, I want great representatives on the track and in the pits. Reputation and image will take us farther than wins and people are really taking notice of people like Larry Blair improving his laptimes, etc... People will think that if he can improve, then they can improve and that is the key to sales. On the plus side, we have always been the fast car on the track since 2004, it has just been more of a challenge to keep it together for the full time in the past.
4.) Saying things like that will make hobby stores, etc... look at us more seriously. A lot more seriously because of how we have conducted ourselves the last 3 years. People know that if WE are saying things like this, it is not just another brand spouting off so use it to your advantage. Show your cars off with pride. Compare them to Losi and Kyosho and AE and the new disappointing Xray.
Our car is the best one out there right now. You guys know more than me as to why. Most of you have left those companies to give us a shot and we have listened to you, tried to help you, and given you a great environment to be in and most importantly, WE HAVE A REAL TEAM.

+ 1 ?&^ Kudos to you Mike, keep sticking to your guns and Caster Racing and the rest of us here will succeed! The article is great. :)
How will you be able to adjust the Ackerman?
In looking at it really close it could possibly be an offset mount that rotates in the ackerman arm, like adjusting the camber on a VW Bug Ball joint front end. The stud is not in the center and you can rotate it to change the distances between posts....
