Thank you Hak. I am very excited to give the new buggy a try, but wanted to make sure it was right before unvailing it.

Do yourself a favor and really try those tires. Some of us here in FL. call those the "secret weapon" tires. They are actually really good!

I am gonna do more than try them, I am gonna run them till they fall off the wheel. LOL

We have 4 different buggy rims and we can get them in 4 different colors. One style is perfect for corr truck or possibly rally, one is perfect for rally, and one is solid like proline, aka, etc... and one is the one with the slots (normal factory)

I want to switch over to the solid ones for the pro kits.

Pro kits in my mind really dont even need wheels and tires. No other pro car comes with them

and that is why ours comes with them....they are actually sweet with the new foams, but worst case scenario they can be a free practice set.

For all those that don't want the "Included" wheel/tires from their kits, I will take them off your hands. Like Hak said, if you don't want to use them to race, they do make for some nice practice sets. I on the other hand, will be racing mine to see how they do before I can make a decession on them.

So, in the mean time, you guys can just send me them factory wheels and tires you not needing. LOL

Ochitone,

the plastic gear has another advantage that is far more important...

HEAT! Yes, heat! Plastic and metal do not create as much friction as metal/metal.

As Bando711 and I live in a warm climate (ok its effing cold right now at 52 this morning) in the summer and fall it is hot and humid. So hopefully we'll get a few more degrees cooler with the plastic spur...

Ok, I had this debate last summer with some locals who said plastic spurs were so much better. I temped my spur after a 20 run and that metal spur was not any differant than any other piece of metal / aluminum on the car.

So I am not convinced they are all that. I'll I know is a lost a few races because of striped spur gears. So to each his own but they definatly aren't for me.

I will say there is less rotating mass. So there will some gain in performance there. A noticable amount, who knows

These are my temps from last weekend...if I remember correctly....
Lipos: 120
ESC: 109
Motor 129
Metal Spur: 150.1 and yes I got some click clack in there...

Reaper, I'm gonna give it a whirl, but will also be ready for a diff swap out. I am hesitant on the stripping also.

I will order the parts, but I fear the spur gear stripping out too. I am thinking about ordering a few extra parts to build some back up diffs so that I can swap them out to play with different types of fluid.

Plastic spur gears for a 1/8 is stupid. and the noise of the metal to metal is somethign I personally love. If I could make it louder, I would.

I agree

I've run Kyosho gears for over 5 years and only stripped a gear twice that I recall, both times due to the motor moving and creating very loose mesh. That's the only benefit of the metal gears to me... I have seen the motor slip without ruining the spur. Well, the other benefit with the metal spur is that you don't have to cob together a plastic replacement. If Mikey would make plastic spurs for the Fusion, that wouldn't be an issue. Would be nice to have that option.

agree....i think they are lots of after market parts for the plastic Fusion gears....if you look around, they should be okay, but for my opinion, as Fusion now is equip with powerful Motor and also Powerful ESC, ....so for safty ..i will still suggest to use
metal gears....unless you are not doing heaving jumping , just like parking lot driving.

I will stick with the metal spur gear.
