Hey every one. I am a Team Driver for Pete at Answer-RC 'uk'. I am racing the SK-10 and will be doing a write up on the car with tip's and mod's to do to the car to get the best out of it. One of the first things I found was the Body shell is not the best fitting thing in the world, so after many hours of hard work, I came up with my own design, I was looking for it to give better down force yet give better room inside the car for the speedo etc. Have a look and let me know if you like it or not?

Looks pretty good to me. Reminds me of my 1/8 body, except for the cab forward thing. :)

Funny thing is, the stock body has elements that look to be copied from mine. Mine looks like a combination of yours and the stocker. Yours has the cool slammed look and squared cockpit. The stock one has the scoops and lines like I did.

If enough people like it, it will be going in to production for you all to buy. Raced it today for the first time on an indoor carpet track, it felt to have more low speed steering and was more stable on high speed sweepers! It looks real aggressive and low on the track, won the A final with it, first time out. So really happy with it.

Hi
My honest opinion... The cockpit looks ugly. but otherwise it looks good. Any chance of making the cockpit a little more...NOT SQUARE  If it doesnt ruin downforce etc?
The looks equal sales as well as drivability. Pro drivers go for the drvivability part and other consumers choose the better looking. And i think there are more those others out there.

I think I like it. Whoever paints for you is awesome. Are you making the mold out of plaster of paris?

Just get it built and used :)
I've had a few meetings with mine, seems good, just need to do a bit more setup work for slippy surfaces i think.

Thanks matey, I paint my own shell's, The mold is made up of wood, built up for the basic frame, then car body filler is added and sanded and shaped. Bloody hard work!
This is the first pull of the shell, I may change a few details, after judging off people response to it.

I like it...fo' Sho'
Hi,
Very nice, cool paint job. Shell is nice but the Jconcepts D4 (seen on other thread) has nicer lines. If you rounded the cockpit it may improve the look. Just my opinion others may disagree.

Good Job on the lid, It must be hard work. I am not crazy about the lids look only because it looks like a tank to me (too square),, If I can make a suggestion, how about a little more angle on the front and kind of a "fast back" on the rear of the cockpit (a little like the losi 1/8 lid). My 2cents.
