This is common from what I hear (never happened to me). Your options are:
1. buy another pull start and put it back on (cheapest).
2. buy a starter box and be done with it ($60+)
3. buy a hex/rotor backplane where you start it with a rotor starter ($100+).
The starter box is probably the better way to go but it all depends on your wallet and how long you stay in the hobby.

Just checked the docs on that motor and it looks like the pull start is $25. Just did a search on google for the part and they are selling here for $20.

ok well i think i might be able to fix it but is it possible to attach the pull start string back to the handle once it snapped?? i will be trying that and if not then a new pull start will get purchased. and starter box would be sweet but i already spent $745 on my k8t and accesories.

For parts on your motor just tell them it is a Force .25 motor. They should be able to get parts for it from ofna. I love when they tell me a what???? I got that last week when I went to get a bearing and he asked me. I just love telling them a Caster!

Yeah mine has broken twice already, not much you can do about it other than rewind it, which is what I did, or switch to a starter box or rotostart. Tigerdrives work okay if you get a good one, but I used one on my Firestorm (same model that fits Force engines) and the drive gear stripped out on two of tehm. On the other hand, my brother uses the same Tigerdrive on his Ravager (also a Force engine), and hasn't had any problems other than having to clean the one-way when it gets dirty. I ended up just using the stock one-way bearing. I put a socket and extension on it, and chucked teh whole assembly in my drill. Unfortunately, there's not enough room on the Caster to get at it that way, so you pretty much have to use an actual rotostart with an allenshaft. Pullstarts work fine though if you know how to rewind them. Mine starts on two or three pulls anyway, so not having to worry about lugging a drill or starter box around is kind of nice for me.

mine broke three times and is now broken completely!!! they were little minor ones that lead to a big one and the spring is broken!! i might just get a starter box if we cant re bend the metal cause none of my LHS have a force .25 pull start. :(:(:(:(

Yourdogg, I gotta run but will make it quick. Get the starter box locally and have the guy help you align it with the engine. It's not as easy the first time around because you have to dremel the bottom of the chassis, remove the motor, etc.... And you may burn out a motor in the starter box. Trust me I went through that and it sucked. Buy it and get help and try and learn how to do it for the next time.

You really have not had anything break on you except for the pullstart. All the other stuff was just tuning and getting it running correctly. You will have to do that with most any RTR because with the motors it depends on weather, altitude and stuff according to how they run or need to be tuned. Breaks will need to be ajusted every so often and so on. You will find that these are really like the box says they are and this is "they are not toys". You will be amazed how much you will learn about these cars and what you can do to make them run. It's crazy. Where I am at I am considered by my friends and some people I run with the to be the smart one when it comes to tuning and stuff when really I know only a fraction of what some of these guys on here know and am still learning stuff all the time.

Go down to the LHS and ask for a pullstart for an OFNA Ravager or other OFNA that has a Force .21-.28 size engine. For that matter, an HPI Firestorm's pullstart should also work. Force engines seem to have essentially the same block for .21-.28 sizes so you might get lucky. Not sure about teh Force .32 but I'd imagine it's also teh same. I know an HPI G3.0 pullstart should work because they use the same Tigerdrive as the Force engines.

Yeah shipping costs are getting rather expensive now with the oil dilemma and crisis overseas. My wife sells on ebay and mentioned the high shipping costs too. In fact, ebay had issued some sort of incentive (not sure exactly) for sellers to offer free shipping.
Anyway, frustration is a big part of this hobby so you're not the only one. I personally try to focus on what was learned and improve in the hobby. I highly recommend you to seek help from your LHS and continue learning by way of forums.

Pull strats from a OFNA/Habao/Hong Nor/HPI will work as most of them are all force motors in the RTR kits.
