Getting ready to start assembly of my buggy.
How much do you need to remove to add fluid?
Was not sure if you could pull just the outside bulkhead and get at the differential or if you needed to remove F/R bulheads and then split the case. Appears you have to remove shock towers, etc..

All you have to do is remove the front bulkhead on the front and rear diff and remove the diff. For the FRONT DIFF,unbolt the 2 bottom screws that hold to the front bulkhead from to the chassis then remove the clips on the hinge pins and remove hinge pin brace, remove the couple of screws that hold ONLY the shock tower to the bulkhead, then remove the screws that hold the top plate to the steering rack and center brace. Remove the 2 screws that hold down the sway bar to bulkhead and push swaybar up. Then there should be a couple screws in the front bulkhead that bolt to the rear, remove those and the front bulkhead should pop off and then remove the diff.
Same procedure for the rear except for the top plate removal. Rear is easier.
For the center diff, if you do not have your servo's removed then pop off throttle linkage to carb and servo arm fron servo. Then all you have to do is remove the 4 screws on bottom chassis that hold diff brace to chassis and then remove the diff straight up and off of the center driveshafts.
Hope this helps.

Thanks vnmsgt, that helps a lot.

Cam,
It talks about assembling the differentials but not how to remove what you need to add/change fluid.
I was looking for what vnmsgt offered. Thanks again.

Hey man what's up, if that's a new buggy you need to do more than the diffs I would take the whole front and rear section off and locktite all screws, and the CVD's and then put longer srew's in the chassis braces and then put locknut's on the screw's this will ensure that you never have to worry about your car comming apart.:D

Clayton, brand new buggy. So yea I am open for suggessions.
What chassis braces are you talking about?
I assumed that all metal parts setscrews were already loctited. You guys are not loctiting stuff the screws into plastic are you?

OK gotcha. I think the book called them torque brackets or something.
I need to stop by the LHS and pickup some differential oil before I do much.

the chassis braces are the aluminum braces that stiffin up the chassis that are black and silver.
