Hi,

was for racing in Latvia, Kangarnieki track. Do not have time to prepare for race at all so went just to have some practice. No info about track at all. When get there and saw the track I understand that with this kind off track I will not manage to end race in one peace...:) I will post a link to one video of 1/8 nitro buggy semifinals just to show how bad track is... Just have to cut video to be able to upload to youtube.

Not finished this race. After very bad landing broke rear lower arm and spoiler. Bad landing happened because car was twitchy, loose and almost impossible to drive. On the other hand other buggies looked more or less stable. Not to mention colleague with nitro HB D8 Hara Edition buggy. This buggy performed really nice and went easily through bumps and jumps.

By no means problem is with me. I am novice and I did something wrong with my settings... Would like to correct my car and know in the future how to prepare Caster buggy for such bad tracks. Please, give me all possible suggestions what to do with car to be able to race there and have more or less concurrent car!

Its hard to say without knowing what you have for a set up now. Start with full droop, low wt shock oil (25-30) range, upright shocks. Most important are the tires you are using. Find a good tire first. If you are having with traction in the corners increase the ride height. If you are having issues with tipping over in the bump or corners lower the ride height. It is all a balance. Shorten your camber links. That will give you some more corner bite.

Why not just ask your buddy with the Hara what his setting are?
Then you can get as close to his setup and figure out if you need to buy different parts?
Tires, springs, shock oil, etc.

go back to tires first, start with some pro line snipers or AKA impacts

Tires....tires....tires....

run a few laps

if the car is twitchy reduce your front toe out to neutral

run a few laps

lay over your front shocks, one hole in on the shock tower at a time

run a few laps

hope this helps...

My tires was good. But rear end was not stable at all. And car was coming from bumps not settled... Well will try to get there for racing after two weeks. So have some time to find better working setup.
