I beat last weeks new 1/8th single fast lap and main record.:D 20.39 is super fast. My Viper/TrueRc powered caster e-buggy is dailed with Panther clay switch 2.0 tires.

I also ran open SC. I didn't do to well in the qualifiers. I qualififed 3rd but in the main i drove consestent and it paid off.

I think soon I'm going to need a break from all this rc racing. I think I'm getting burnt out.

I got to race at my local track today, Harmony Hills in Jonesborough, Tenn.
The race, originally was a Tennessee State Race. After all the entries, it was turned into a Tennessee REGIONAL Race.
1st heat, 4th place. 2nd heat, 2nd place. 3rd heat DNF. Main- A-main 7th place.
NOW for the BAD news. The reason for the DNF was an exploded 3 shoe clutch. NOT only exploded, but ALL 3 shoes melted & stuck to the flywheel! (Yea, NEVER seen THAT before! LOL!!!)
But at least, The 2010 K8T Pro was FREAKIN DIALED!!!
Clutch issue WILL BE solved next race! I now have 3 Ascendency (spelling?) 4 shoe clutches!

raced today at Coastal Hobby and had a rough start to the day but ended up very good.
Out of 2 qualifiers i was sitting in 3rd.....than came the tripple A-Mains.
I won the first one than Blake Ryan (shake n bake) won the second one.....so it was a tie going into the 3rd A-main and i pulled off the win.
It was a good day for caster......finishing 1 and 2-out of 11 buggies.
And Blake was TQ
We had a dash for cash race after the mains that consisted of the top 3 buggies and top 3 truggies all running together for a 7 min. main. It was a close race between the top truggy driver and me but he couldnt catch the ex1.5r
Pictures and video as soon as i get them uploaded.

Overall good racing today, no breakage of anything!
1/8 E Buggy- Pretty dismal turnout today. Unfortunately we had 4 and had to run our own class (would rather run with nitros). Only managed 2nd, but losing to Bret is nothing to be ashamed of. On a positive note, I was the only 1/8 E to not break through out the day.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c233/donniker/26660ef6.jpg
1/10 2wd Combined buggy/truck - set TQ and was out to a big lead, but then the nut behind the wheel got involved and blew it. 2nd again.

13.5 Short Course - AWESOME racing today. The A main was probably one of the cleanest 7 minutes of SC racing since I was at the Cactus.

Great jobs guys. Nice video's and glad to see that the buggy is working for you Blake. I also raced today but do to rain we had to race indoors. I finally got my 17 laps in qual but went just a little slower in the main.

Finished 3rd in the Hardcore Sunday Series electric A-main. First round in the record books. I'm in between nitro engines, so wasn't able to run nitro in the 1st round. I should be ready to rip it up for round #2 though. With a few drops allowed, it shouldn't be a problem! ;)

I went to King Raceway in King, NC on 6/4/11 to spend the day with some friends (Mike & Mike) on the track. There was me driving my Caster EX1.5R and my Caster F8T. Mike was driving his Caster EX1.5R that had just been built by. We were trying to work out a few bugs in the new buggy only to find out that it was not gonna be a good day. The upper hinge pin holder for some reason or another was not fully machined in the set screws area that held the hinge pins in. I tried to fix it at the track, but couldn't get it to hold. I let Mike drive my buggy and I focused on the F8t, which prior to the first round had no electronics installed nor any prior running time by me. I had no intentions on running the truck untill I had it ready to go on the track, but Mike had paid the entry fee without me knowing (Thank you Mike) so I had to thrash to get it together. I completed it in time but the servo wire found the front drive shaft and it was pulled out of the case. I managed to solder it back together by the next round, but was sill having problems with the breaks on the ESC. I had never used this brand before and was unsure of how to program the breaks in so I tried to do my best with it as the truck was holding up realy well. I was running with the nitros and finished 3rd in the mains but my esc/motor system shut down. I am not sure why, but there will be a different combination installed by next race. Mike managed to pull down a 5th place finish in the mains driving my buggy. I was very happy to be in the company of two great guys. We even flew the Caster Banner beside the track all day long and it was noticed. There was actualy 3 casters out there. Mike, me, and Keith. He had an older version EX1 and was doing well with it untill he snapped with plastic chassis support and lost his drive shaft. We will team up with him at the next King race, but Mike/Mike and I will be attending many races together for the rest of the season.
DORC Round 1 Results
1st Qualifier (http://www.jabodies.com/DORC/2011/pr1/rnd1.pdf)
2nd Qualifier (http://www.jabodies.com/DORC/2011/pr1/rnd2.pdf)
Mains (http://www.jabodies.com/DORC/2011/pr1/rnd3.pdf)
Bad day last Sunday. Raced in E-buggy (EX1.5R) and 2WD SC (SC10). Poor turnout to begin with as this was a rain date from Saturday.
First round of E-Buggy, forgot a clip in the battery tray. Lost the battery, done for the qual.
Second round, E-buggy, Great run, qualified 3rd for the A-Main
A-Main, E-buggy, moved into second on the first corner. Six minutes later, 8 seconds behind the leader and a full lap above 3rd and LVC kicked in. Forgot to change batteries between rounds.
1st Qual-2WD SC, ESC shut down while on TQ pace, restarted ESC, 2 laps later hit the big O and popped off a turnbuckle. DNF
2nd Qual-2WD SC, More ESC issues, pulled the truck off. DNF. Cut the switch from ESC, made new connector and put in a different battery.
Main-Started last. Took first by third corner. Held it for a few minutes, then dropped to second when ESC started cutting power. Pulled the truck after another few minutes. Brand new Castle SV2 unit with less than 15 minutes use on it.
Monday morning, my Gens Ace packs show up to replace the Zippy 4Ah 25C packs I'd been using for 2 years. :(
Moral of the story. Bad things happen when you race with 3.5 hours of sleep.
Rory
BTW, Caster is definately king out here in the GTA. Over half the E-buggy and E-truggy drivers were using Caster vehicles. Quite a few in nitro buggy as well.

another good showing for the Caster, the car is getting major respect now around here! for some reason i was making alot of mistakes during qualifying but still ended up P3 for 4w buggy by only a 3 seconds but the good news is that i smashed the track lap time record with the fastest single lap time for the entire day out of all classes (1/8 buggy,SC and 4w mod) to this date the fastest recorded time in 4w buggy was a 24.4 i ran a quick time of 23.8 with a handfull of 24 0's. fastest e buggy time was 23.9! in SC i also ran the fastest recorded qualifying time and laptime with a 24.6 and good enough qualifier to place me second in 4th in e buggy and4th in 4w mod! the only one to run 14 laps too! now the bad new is that i could not run the mains due to a computer crash, i had to hold a timer and just call it like i saw it for the mains. Installing the Caster big bores on my hyperSC made a huge difference!
I am working with one of our drivers on a new product that is a vast improvement over what we(the RC industry) have now. judging by my performance yesterday it definately works and the CAster team drivers will have first dibs on them once i get the design finalized! stay tuned.........

Raced on friday 6-10-11 and had mixed results. I raced in 2 classes 2wd stock sc with my sc10 and 4wd sc with my converted ex1 . Caster buggy /sc truck was very fast when it kept running but had problems with electronics issues in both qual. that kept me from finishing.. In the main I started out last in the B main and within a lap I was in second place(bump up spot) when unfortunately my motor loosened up and shifted causing pinion to disengage.. I am encouraged though bacause it felt fast and I was passing people quickly so next time im gonna make sure it stays together. In 2wd stock sc in Q1 I was running in second place when my outer hinge pin came out. I hate that design where set screw retains hinge pin, they didnt put hole in a arm close enough and screw heads are too small too hold pin in. Anyway in Q2 I had a good run and easily won my qualifier. I ended up qualified 5th in the A-main and didnt get a good start I was in 6th at about the half way point and then was able to put some good laps together and moved up a couple spots and ended up in 4th. I will post the printouts when they get put up on the track website.

Great day for CASTER at Wilkesboro rc track Saturday.
Blake Ryan, James Carter, and I all met up for a day of racing.
We all got to run in e-buggy and had a total of 9 entries.
After 2 quals. i was TQ........than it poured down rain.
we waited it out and than ran the mains.......I ended up winning the a-main in buggy and truggy for the day .......but.......after the rain there were only 2 caster e-truggys left to run in the main.
There were alot of good comments about the cars and alot of visitors to the trailer to check out our rides and ask questions.
I will post results as soon as i get back home.

Like Toby mentioned, it was a very good day for Caster Racing. This was only my second time running the F8T (first time with new esc/motor) and I am more than pleased with it. Why anyone would even question the durability and performance of these vehicles obiviously has NOT driven one. I took some bad landings on mine in the main event and in some cases nearly cart-wheeled the entire section of track, only to land on the wheels or get turned over and haul butt. I was giving the F8T everything I had all day long. When it came time for the main event I was ready. The rain delay made it come at a later time, but the track has lighting. I was doing very good on the rythum sections and my truggy looked like a boat skimming across the tops of the waves, never missing a beat. The darkness feel and I was having some seeing issues on the back stretch. Track was dissipearing into the night and I wanted to stay save. I told myself that I was going to bring it in and call it, but for some reason or another I stayed out. I knew I couldn't catch Toby, but I could have fun doing it and putting on a show for me and the people. I stayed out and pulled throught the darkness and I am very glad that I did.
In the E-buggy class, I am not sure how I finished as Toby took the results and he will be posting them up for us when he gets back to his home. I think I did great with all things considering.
Toby and Blake are great people to go racing with. I hope that Mike Shelton and I will share the same experience as they do and we will be the best team the East Cost has ever seen. Thanks to Blake for providing me with transportation to and from the event, Toby for help during the nite and the use of his trailer for movie entertainment, and Mike for photos. Untill next race results, keep them in the dirt.

I was just driving my buggy around the track, heading the same direction that everyone else was. I started in last place, but I don't think I finished there as I know I passed some buggys and there was some that passed me. What more can we expect from a blind man. 6/15/2011 Dirt Burner Racing, Livonia, MI 1/8th Scale Electric(Buggy + Truggy Combined) A-Main QUA-2 + FIN-6 [F8T Pro]
After a few dismal months of racing, I finally place in the top three in indoor 1/10 4wd. The Sniper was phenom! Turned in some decent and consistant lap times, but not getting the 12 seconds to be in the top.
My 1/8 results were not so good so I didn't post them, but a Caster buggy did get 3rd for our June race, I ended up 4th. Truggy I dropped out of the A Main to let the top racers have a clear field, I need to go back through the setup as it's an older F8T with too much power.
I will be taking the next couple months off from RC as it's summer vacation and I will be in travel mode. I'm with Rick on the RC burn out, gets hectic juggling with 1/8, 1/10 and SC and two kids, wife's dragon boat, two tracks to maintain, a dune buggy to drive and beautiful water all around.
Rick, won't be able to make the race in Reno as we don't arrive to CA until the 10th, but maybe we can still meet up somewhere between Red Bluff and Lake Tahoe...

The other one is gonna be like the j-concepts bar codes. Thats what delayed the raptors was the new ones cause they pay by the basket for heat treatment, not by the piece, so they figured kill 2 birds with one stone and do them both.... They both look dialed I have already seen the Raptors in action weeks ago when my bro was doing R&D with homemade sc raptors

I have been off my game lately with my corr. Really thinking hard about getting a SC10 or Losi sc truck. Also after the sc main i found out that 2nd place didn't count. He was running a 4x4 sc truck with us because he was the only one that night with one.

Placed 5th in 13.5 Short Course (non-timing). The top 3 guys are all AE team drivers. I was very happy to stay on the same lap as they were, I diced it up with them for a few laps as well. I think Aryton was in the top 3 at this years Cactus Classic in 13.5 SC as well.

And placed 3rd in 1/10 mod buggy. My "22" battery puffed sometime between the 2nd qualifier and the main, but I ran it anyway...at 50% throttle. Slow and steady for a 3rd and the series win.

No 4 wheel buggy down here except for the jbrl league and I dont run that series due to personal issues with certain people. I am still trying to get some $ together for the Ex1.5r. The family and I are in the process of moving from Riverside to San Jacinto so moneys been tight these last few months paying deposits for this and that and getting all the stuff switched utility wise. Hopefully if everything goes right I can make an order for the ex1.5r in the first few weeks of august.

Here are the results of my Buggy A main. There was only 3 e-buggy's today so we had to run with the nitro's. You can see what position i was in when we pulled off at the 14 minute mark. The number in front of the lap times tells you what position your in. I got 1st place today. As you can see Mr. Pease was there. hehe :p I qualified 2nd to Mr. Pease by only 5 sec.;)

Raced At Grass Roots Racing Series rd. 7 saturday in e-buggy and finished 8th, not so good, had a deans connector come unplugged around 9 minute mark. I think I was in 5th or 6th at that point. But finished 5th in stock sc which was pretty good since we had 12 in the a main and a full b main as well. Will post printout when its up on the web site.
Raced in the Bill Bridges Fund Raiser race last weekend in Carleton, MI at "The Track". Ran 8th scale buggy and 4wd SCT and won the A-main in both. There were 50 e-buggies in attendance and 35 4wd SCT's. They are still getting results up as the computer went awol during the mains.

That will make a great news if we can prove it. So Drake didn't run electric buggy then?
Yeah, the Drake just ran nitro all day. I'll post a link to the results once they are up. There were some computer troubles during the mains, but they said the results should be up soon. Adam ran an 8-5:02 in qualifying while my fastest time with the wrong tires was 8-5:20 No idea what my time in the main was.

Well,
I went racing at King Raceway in King, NC this past Saturday, 7/2/11. We ran 3 qualifiers and then the main event.
FIRST ROUND:
E-Buggy: Went out on the frist round and I had a CVD pop out on the left front and got a DNF.
E-Truggy: Went out on the first round right rear shock end pulled out and lost my spring and spring retainer, givinf me a DNF.
I worked on both my buggy and truggy to get them ready for round 2 of qualifiers.
ROUND TWO:
E-Buggy: Went out on the second round and left front CVD poped out again, thus getting me a DNF. This time it broke my light weight outdrive and bent my axle.
E-Truggy: Went out on the second round and the right rear shock pulled out of the ball end link again, but I held onto the spring and retainer this time. Still got a DNF.
I had to work on both my buggy and truggy to get them ready for round three. Tore down the entire front diff in buggy, rebuilt it with new out drives, and reassembled it. I put a new shock end on the truggy and it was done.
ROUND THREE:
E-Buggy: Went out for round 3 and finaly made it the entire race. I was so happy.
E-Truggy: Went out for round 3 and finaly made it the entire race. I was getting things to look up for the day.
I ran in the B-main for E-buggy and there were 2 bump up spots. There was 4 buggies in the b-main as 1 did not start. I did get the second bump up into the A-main. In the A-main, for some reason or another I did not place anywhere. I was told that the scoring only does top 10, but out of the top ten listed, 1 of them broke and did not finish so I am not sure what happend there.
I rane my E-truggy with the nitros yet again and was told that we would be scored differently, (but this didn't happen), so I managed to get an un-heard of 20 minues from a single 4cell 5000mAh 60c lipo. I did get second place out of the 2 electric truggys, but 5th place overall.
A very special thank you goes out to Mike Shelton and his son for helpping me repair my buggy/truggy between rounds and for turn marshelling for me so that I could put in some wrench time. These 2 guys are the absolute best friends that anyone could ever ask for.
Mike did have a good day with his e-buggy and pulled down the 5th spot in the a-main.

you didn't even start your race?
Yea, I know. It REALLY sucked too! At the 5 min mark during the 3rd heat, I noticed my engine would die when I used the brakes. So I immediately thought clutch or clutch bearings. I got it in the pits to discover the cluch did NOT move at all.
We had a 15 min break before the 30 min mains, & as MY luck would have it, no extra clutches, flywheel, bell (BUT did have bearings! LOL!) or anything. The last place truggy driver is my pit buddy & at least I did finish AHEAD of him! LOL!!!<*&
Wont be ANY problem now! I just added 2 Asdendancy clutches! 1 to EACH vehicle! These are by far BETTER than ANY 3 shoe clutch! These are 4 shoe & wont melt or gauld to the flywheel like the 3 shoe.
Myself, My pit partner & only 1 other racer were using the 3 shoe setup. Everyone else IS using the 4 shoe setup. NOW, I am too! I can see WHY!!
Long story short, HAD to miss the local 4th of July local race due to moving from the old workplace to the NEW one. Destroyed my back from moving yesterday (07/05/2011) & may have to be out on the Wilkesboro race. Definately my NEXT race will be the Saturday AFTER this & it will be PRO BUGGY & I'm looking for redemption & serious PAYBACK!!!!!!
Theres just some things a tinge unit & pills wont cure. TIME is the factor!
Hey Rickster! Give me a shout sometime! U got MY number! As I will have YOUR'S at the Wilkesboro NC race u will attend this fall!!!!! LOL!!!
