Back WAS good enuf to race THIS weekend, but.......... CANCELLED!

I like King. Toby has family and a place to stay in Wilkesboro. Either one is OK with me. Greg, how far are you from Wilkesboro?

I can get to either King or Wilkesboro in 2 hrs. IF I go to king, I'd prefer to spend the $50.00 for the motel room & spend the nite & eat, etc.

Last time I was there was at a National/Pro race! Matt Francis was there & some other top drivers. I got to race 2WD MOD class! NEVER raced a mod motor in anything. Especially a 2wd buggy. Slosi XXX. Homie had FRONT WINGS & after turning that 12 turn quad loose, I seen why! Could NOT keep the front end on the ground! Finished 1st in the B-main with no bump up. (Dammit!) Not too bad considering there was a E-Main in 2wd Mod & 10 per thru the E. I think that was in the late 90's!

BAD NEWS for me!

Looking like "OUR" King NC run for this weekend, for me at least is gonna be a no-go. My 01 Ranger's tranny decided it was NO longer gonna do what its supposed to & yesterday (Monday August 1st) is BACK in the trans. shop. Reverse is perfect but NO forward gears at all. I did get to drive the lot wrecker yesterday & last night & got to put the fear into the neighbors that would prefer to park in the street instead of their own driveways! When I pulled in last night, neighbors PROMPTLY came out & put their rides in their driveways IMMEDIATELY! LOL!!! (Been threatening THIS for a while & I guess they thought I was full of BS!)

BUT, just for YOU Mr Knee Pads, a LOT of us is getting ready for the 2nd Saturday in Sept. & going to Wilkesboro, NC to get dialed in for YOUR visit!

I do sincerely APOLOGIZE to Team Caster for NOT being at a racin in almost 2 months now. Trust me, THIS SUX!!!

Sorry Keith, We couldn't make it out. Mike's wife Jennifer just had some surgery and he could not make it. He is my transportation to King. We should be there next month. Have fun out there man.

Yeah, it was good! Well after a few glitchs (front shocks had wrong piston, and had to buy a set of tires) qualified number 3 in the B. Three of them broke or over heated. So it was just the three of us. By the second lap, I was half a lap ahead. Since there was only one bump. Guess who it was! :) was going to start 6th n the A. But got rained out, so spend my lil winnings back in shop. & now on the road home.

Dawg I feel bad about not sending you a PM. My wife went in the hospital thur a week ago for what was supposed to be a 1 hr simple back surgery. 5 hrs later she came out of the operating room cut from her neck over halfway down her back. Finally got her home tues and she is an invild. I have to raise her up in the bed so she can get a drink of water, its that bad. She's gonna be down for a while and right now I have to be with her 24-7. My home ph is 336 945 4702. Next time give me a call the night before the race and you drive all the way down here. I was there in March. My son was driving a green EX1 RTR. Everytime we set the car on the track that day it broke. I was glad it rained. James saw what was happening and I guess he felt sorry for us. You know the rest of the story and thats why I'm here today.
