Results for my latest run
Show me track Foristell, MO
ran 8th scale buggy
only a few buggys on hand, ran 2 qualifiers was 2nd for main, raced at night and didnt relize how bright the lighting was kept messing me up when going into corners, after a few laps i got use to it and ended up third. Track went from trophy plagues to Ribbons, ill have to post a pic of my July plague and Sept ribbon, no race in August due to heat.
Running indoor thursday 10th 4wd mod and 8th scale buggy. will post pic of laps and times.

Tough choice for the weekend, First indoor of the season or last outdoor with 84 degree temps. Indoor is weekly and this is the last outdoor and points closer.

Oct 8 - oct 9
First qualifier start out great keeping up passing a few in the first couple laps, to go make a left off our front straight and the wheel is skipping, Go a little more and i hear it unload under throttle. Drive pin #1. Broke in half and out the side and stuck into the plastic of the steering knuckle. Pull off take to table and put new pin and once qualifer is done i toss it back on the track and not a full lap around. Same thing #2 pin same thing. Im think its not possible. So i get out a third pin and put it in, new set screw and check all bearing and all smooth sailing. Second qualifer 5 laps in i hear the same noise. Starting to think the esc tune is maybe the problem i did pump it up a little more than normal due to the other drivers running 2650 in their rides. Put # 3 in and reset to default esc setting and only bump time to 15. Make it through the entire qualifier, not hot on the throttle taking semi easy as i just want to make it through. Make it through. Qualifer # 4 take her out for a warm up lap since now its nightfall and the track gets grippy so new tires on for that and long and behold. #3 give out, run back put in #4 of the night. MAke it though and on the run around i hear the all so common sound. #4 is out. Mind you these were bought in a caster part lot on rc tech. Dont know how old they were. But i say ok bad batch. One left so i put it in and pray for it to last 15 minutes for the main.
Main
Head out to warm up set up on the pit top and head upstairs to the driver stands. I make my first corner and the oh so great sound of motor and no movement really. Take it back to the pits and start digging cant find another pin. Ask other drivers no one had one that would fit. smaller than i needed
So my last outdoor race ends in a dnf.
Any suggestions on drive pins. Mugen any better or should i harden me a new set so i know they will last.

From my last race, 3rd qualifer, only one i seemed to keep a drive pin in the cvd.
Took it a little easier as you see my times compared to the others. Was a bad weekend for cvd 2 other guys didnt make finals either cause of the drive pins.

Works been keeping me off the track, made practice night thursday and starting to get the s10b dialed in. Got the suspension moving freely, no binding and no bent towers. Loving the way its tracking. Going to set up 8th scale and get both of these cars into race this coming saturday. Cant wait for winter to get going, no more weekend racing.

Not alot of turn out today. Only three E buggy and me with the only 10th scale and only 2 short courses. Rn with the nitro buggy and they only kept track of the main. Took 3rd in the 15 minutes main limping my way in on my 4000 mah packs. Cant wait to get my high velocity packs with 6000mah 60c.
Good day over all no breaks and great speed, using a hobby wing esc since my tekin last week at practice decided to fireball. More consistant with the hw might stick with that. Did run someone e truggy for a qualifer, man i want one but will be no where to run it after next week. All the public tracks are leveling the tracks for winter, and no where to run indoor with the truggy. Maybe in January in ohio at the RC factory. But starting to save up now.

Update, been out the past three weeks with an upper respitory infection. Hate Missouri weather this time of year, 80 on day 45 and raining the next. Should be back in action next week, no race due to holiday but am getting in practice at the indoor who is doing an Am Vet night, all proceeds to go to the local Am Vets. First big race of winter coming Dec 9 through 10th

Well the Outlaw opener at Show ME RC was a no go mother nature poured the track into a river. Rescheduled for April 28th. Kinda happy i got rained out cause now i get a few more days to work on the set up of my new truggy. Buggy is smoking hot with Hernadez towers. Much nicer and soaks up bumps like they are not there.

Manditory OT this weekend. I would love to go up there but the 2cell 1/8th scale isnt my style. Show me is a fun track and is more laid back should be a good turn out.

Ran at Show Me RC, not a huge turn out there. 5 E buggies and 4 Truggies. Took Third in E Buggy started in last after 2 rounds of quals, jumped to main to miss the massive storms coming in. Lost another cvd pin but limped through with 3 wheels.
E Truggy i finished third in 8 laps down. Last 3 minutes of main was limping home as under power i had a massive gear grinding noise. No clue what it was as of yet. Still needing to pull apart and get her back together for next weeks open at RJD.

When is the Rjd season opener? Also, what are the times for the Collinsville race? I need to run some laps with my nitro and Sc10 before an upcoming big race...

ya know, after i sent your tires out today i was thinking about the dirt you run in....another tire that will work VERY well would be jconcepts subcultures....have yet to find a surface those tires don't hook well on...

Thanks man, yeah going around getting used tires to see what i like, ton cheaper than picking up a new set and not liking them at all. Did that with a set of calibers this weekend. Had two laps on them on buggy, took them off and gave them away. Ended up running my werks W tires. square nobs on the outer and a W pattern staggered in the middle worked wonders.
