It would be a great idea to help promote caster products by sending some of them to rctvlive.com for some product reviews live on line. I know I watch religiously every episode they come out with. Watcha think? Any other ideas for promoting Caster hard for 08'?

Caster probably needs more factory drivers and market heavy in the U.S. magazines

So, what would you do for an ad?
Full page / 1/2 page, etc....
A picture of what?
What would it say?

I say you can keep is simple. Get a half page. All you have to put is one pic of the truggy/ one of the buggy and beside each one a small description of its specs like what is on this site when you click on one to see. Have your website in BOLD on the bottom and think of a saying for the top of the add like "The next best thing" then underneath put "Caster Racing ZX1-R and K8-T. All that is just a taste for people to see what they are and then they will hit the site.

I would also probly include a small box showing some of the upgrade parts and option parts. Just so people don't think it's a "fly by night" company, and they are accually full blown race machines.

I know they have sponsored some drivers (like myself) that do get noticed at track. Advertising is a lot of money. I feel the first thing for the U.S. market was to get a car that going to make the U.S. drivers happy with the car. The latest car that I've received is very nice and seems to be on the right track. So, now that the car is something marketable then getting it to retailers is the next step.
Word of mouth right now is really valuable. I know a lot of guys envy how my car drives. I just need to convince them it is a car you don't have to worry about. I have guys with $1,000 rolling chassis' that don't drive nearly as good as the ZX-1 and they are chasing setup all the time. I run the same thing pretty much everywhere I go.

super, .... this is real...!! we are doing our best to get the car even better, after all,
and get it as race ready rolling chassis to the customer, it takes time, but i think
we will be there very soon...

Caster probably needs more factory drivers and market heavy in the U.S. magazines
Its chicken and egg. What comes first a stable well balanced car that has few failures/breakages. Factory drivers can not afford to switch and then get worse results developing a car. I know Jon Hazelwood looked at Caster in the UK some years back and was not impressed. I think he would think otherwise now. :D
Factory response to suggested improvements are second to none with Caster. But in some cases its not always factory drivers who get sales. My son was not a factory driver when he beat Adam Drake in the UK (Still the only UK driver to beat "the drake" on UK soil) but we sold a hell of a lot of cars from that success. He also put the XT8 Truggy 3rd at the on its first outing in the UK, only thwarted by the fact we had to run a 125cc tank due to a 150 not being available.
But the support trail was not there and slowly one by one the local drivers dropped that manufacturers cars for others despite Lee still winning numerous races and making two National A finals last season.
The main issue was parts availability trackside/ locally.
Without support, including tyres, engines, tools etc to be 100% prepared and able to overcome any bad luck we all get from time to time, its next to impossible to compete on the same level as these factory drivers. (Thats not saying that with support you would beat them, they are the best thats why they get support) but its about confidence and comitment, RC racing is a not just about equipment but 50% in your head and practicing BUT more importantly being able to afford that practice.
This season I am slowly starting a small shop to support caster/answer products obviously some things are not supplied through them but specialising in these ranges. The thing is I can not announce it publically yet as I dont have enough capital to get enough stock but slowly word of mouth is spreading and drivers are now starting to understand they will be able to get spares trackside.
A bit like the razor guy who liked the razzor so much be purchased the company. :) ...........I cant afford to buy the company but selling the products is the next best thing :D
Hope this helps.
