Talked to OFNA today for you, and they said some times they have a scratch and dent sale and you can find it on there web site. I couldn't find it on there web site. There is no replacement tops that you can just order. Also, they said to check with Tower Hobbies, sometimes they have things like that to.

I have the same starter box. Just got it and trying to get is setup.

Have not tried it hooked to battery but tried hooking it to a 50 amp power supply on bench. Would not turn my tight pinch new motor over.

Wondering if thats because its on a power supply or if something is wrong. Will try truck battery tomorrrow. When I get ready to start the motor I wll try a heat gun.

Just doesnt seem to have much grunt from a start.

Rich, I'll try to help you with it. Not an expert by any means, but I know a few tricks....

Don't worry, I won't do anything stupid. Not in the mood to buy you a new motor....lol.

You will have a hard time with high quality big block motors. It would not turn my Picco over at all for the first 10-12 tank fulls. I had to use a heat gun (wife's hair dryer LOL) to get it up to 200 degrees and then it would turn over. Still had to use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the crank when it would still get caught at TDC. I have about 20 or so tanks through it now and it still sometimes has a hard time. Just make sure if you are trying to turn it over and it is not then do not keep holding the plate down. You will melt the plastic around the metal connecters ont he post under the plate you push down and then it will not do anything and you have to fix it. It is a great bump box and very strong but these high dollar motors have such a tight pinch it is still a pain.

Thanks for the help. That is just stupid they do not sell them as a separate part. Alot of people use the truggy and buggy to race and switch plates to start them. My old LHS that closed down used to sell them, he always had about 10 top plates in stock, that is where I bought my spare but no other LHS can ever get them. I will have to check on there site alot to find one.
