Another customers car i built this week.
Team Kit with a Axe Cobra motor and Hyper 21 pipe.
Caster servos with Dynamite/razzor throttle linkage setup :)
Proline high down force wing.
Kit tyres with GRP moulded inserts.
Car is pretty std for know as customer needs to get some stick time with it and we will upgrade as we go along.
Customer is a experienced onroad racer so should just get settled into the rythm and jumping of offroad.
Kit is setup with 5/7/3 diff oils
1.5mm shock piston holes with 35wt oil

Not at all. Just that the Race motors produce more power. Also not just more power but they are harder to tune, and sometimes more tempermental. The RTR's are made to be very reliable and easy to tune and allow you to run and run and run without have to tune as much for weather conditions and are alot easier to start sometimes.

Haboa filter from the Hyper 8.
That filter looks really good on the buggy and also probably fits under the body alot better too! I just ordered me to sets for my buggy and truggy!

YDogg, you should take anything I have to say with a grain of salt. I'm new to rc cars just like you.
As a starter engine it is good enough until you feel you've got a better handle on the car and can then upgrade. I can now consistently make it around my track without banging on the wall or flying off the track (yes happened to me after a long straight).

Haboa filter from the Hyper 8.
Razzor, do you have to tie wrap that? I'm looking for a filter combo that doesn't require me to do that as it is a pain in the arse.

Go to photobucket.com and make a free account. Upload your pics from computer to there. Click on IMG code after uploading and saving and it automatically copies it. Come here and paste it in your post.:D

and then when you quit photobucket or screw it up, we get to enjoy the red square with a red x in it....
If you would like, send me pics and I will put them on our server for you. Speaking of which, am I still missing a pic from Chris for his avatar at RCU?

I have not had a problem yet. Pretty much any good buggy can keep up with another with a good driver. You are going to pay a ton more for a 808 though. Not worth it to me even though they are awesome but I have the same amount of fun and competitiveness with my Caster ZX1-R!

Dont see why not :)
Anyway from the hassles guys are having with teh 808 i can confidently say the ZX-1R would be more durable.
